Founded in 1932, Southern New Hampshire University is a private, nonprofit, accredited institution with more than 3,000 on-campus students and 3,000 online students, making us one of the fastest-growing universities in the country.

Southern New Hampshire University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is approved by the New Hampshire Postsecondary Education Commission. The School of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. Some programs have special accreditation as well. For instance, all the sport management programs are recognized by the North American Society for Sport Management, while the hospitality administration program is recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration. At the state level, it is a member of the New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC), a consortium of higher learning institutions in New Hampshire. Nationally, it is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the American Council on Education, and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

1. Athletic Scholarships

– Scholarship requirements: These scholarships are available to outstanding athletes in basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer (football), tennis, baseball, softball, and volleyball. Scholarship amounts vary and are determined by the coaches.

2. Li Xu Scholarship Fund

– Scholarship requirements: This scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students who demonstrate the strong giving and sharing spirit of Li Xu by showing their commitment to the needs of new students. Scholarship applicants should demonstrate their interest in helping new students understand the academic culture of the University and social culture of New Hampshire in an effort to assist them in adjusting to the University.

3. Penmen Merit Scholarship

– Scholarship requirements: Available to all new students.

4. Young Women’s Leadership Scholarship

– Scholarship requirements: This scholarship is available to women from developing countries who exhibit strong academic and personal leadership qualities.

5. European Scholarship

– Scholarship requirements: This scholarship is available to short-term (1 year or less) students from European schools with whom we have a partnership agreements.
